At an age when most would park themselves on the couch, ordering Mom to whip up some goodies, this brother- sister duo starts their morning, painstakingly readying ingredients and whisking away to cater to their orders for the day! A small venture started by a Chandigarh based young brother-sister team, with a HUGE fan following and client base – that’s how I would describe Wild Whisk. Having had no formal culinary training, it’s Himmat and Sahiba’s genuine love for good food and a passion for baking that led to the birth of this home-run patisserie.
The Sandhu siblings have always had an affinity for culinary, and grew up in a house where they were exposed to a variety of cooking techniques. In 2020, throughout the lockdown, the family tried new recipes every single day, and it was in 2021, that the enterprising duo eventually ventured out to start their own gourmet bakery. Thanks to their genes and extensive travel, the connect with food comes very naturally to them. The exposure, expertise and finesse are quite obvious in each their creations – handcrafted with love and passion!
Fresh breads, bespoke cakes, decadent treats, luscious puddings and mousses, using the finest ingredients; it’s the distinct blend of ‘homemade yet exotic’ that sets them apart from what’s available in the market. “Our super gooey chocolate cookies are a hit with most people. They vanish as soon as they are out of the oven”, shares Himmat with a smile. They are also adept at brownies, pies and cinnamon rolls. As enticing and global as they sound, each of their creations will traverse you to the bylanes of Paris and London! Incredibly international and an absolute treat to the tastebuds as well as the eyes, they have almost everything that comes under comfort food. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or stuck in a quarantine situation, food is a must.
