A celebration of melody, music and a voice that stirs your soul, is how one would describe Jashan Singh, the singing sensation, import from Punjab to Bollywood. Venturing into commercial cinema in 2013 with the song “Ishqe di chain tutt gyi” for the movie “Rangeelay” staring Jimmy Shergill and Neha Dhupia, followed by a string of melodies for Coke Studio including ‘Yaad, Sai, Allah ve’ in 2015, this young lad tapped out song after song, including his hit single track “Gilli Kurti” Music lies in Jashan’s very DNA! His gravitation towards music was a natural progression, with an early exposure to the world of notes and ‘Sur’ via his father Hardeep Singh who is also a popular Punjabi singer.
With no formal training but an unbinding passion, he’s a gifted, natural singer and an exceptional actor wrapped into one! As a youngster, he had other inclinations too and he tried other things like cricket, for one, but swiftly moved from the world of cricket, because on the cricket pitch too, he was more interested in singing than swinging. Having been bitten by the acting bug Jashan, and identified by industry experts, he’s even starred in a Mahesh Bhatt project “Dushman”. Now, this inherently talented, product of Y.P.S Mohali, is a T- Series exclusive artist. Having produced many a foot tapping Punjabi hits, this youngster is definitely next hot property in the world of music, with many new music projects and film ventures in the pipeline.
